Regensburg, Germany.
I was there for 3 months, experienced Winter and Spring. I experienced the coldest Winter in my life, it was -16 deg C. I swear you can't walk on the street more than 15 minutes. To me, it's fun! LOL! I like to see snow....falling from the sky.But walking in the snow can be awful.
This place is an old town, a district in Bavaria, famous with Alps and food. The Bavarian Alps define the border with Austria, and within the range is the highest peak in Germany, the Zugspitze.
The people...Generally Germans are quite self-righteous,they do not speak other languages and not easy to mix with. Probably they do not speak well in Engish.Make sure you know some key German words or equipped with a pocket dictionary, as the public places are not English friendly :(
Bavarians tend to place a great value on food and drink.
I miss the food here a lot....nd of course the beers!
Schwein braten-the most common dish in upper Bavaria. Pork served in slices with gravy, accompanied by Knödel (Smashed potato ball)
Schweinshaxe Grilled pork joint often served as half with Knödel and sauerkraut, best goes together with weissbeer!!!!
Nürnberger Bratwurst mit Sauerkraut- Smallest among all sausages in Bavaria, this one become famous all over Germany.Fried sausages served with sauerkraut is a speciality from Nürnberg
The standard serving for a beer is 0,5l " eine Halbe" beer is traditionally served by the litre in Germany
Dunkles (meaning "dark") that has a stronger taste because it is brewed with more malt. This one beats all kind of beers from other country .....taste so smooth and a bit sweet.
Weißbier - literally meaning "white beer" - is made of barley and wheat. It tastes more sour than Helles
Helles - which means "pale" .It is a type of lager beer, similar to the pilsener, but contains less hop and tastes sweeter.
All about food, right? Ya,other than the township, all i miss is the food :)
Poo Daddy having his 1 meter long sausage in the mini October fest
