Gary addicted to Chut Chut (Pacifier)

The first time I let Gary to use pacifier was when we were home from confinement center. I thought i will be cool enough of not letting him to touch on pacifier....Oh, i was over estimated myself.LOL! I ran out of idea when i saw him crying in the middle of the night.....so i did a lifetime wrong decision >>>to put in a pacifier in his mouth...But since then we have silent nights.... :)

I was s guilty looking at him sucking on the pacifier, i do not know why...maybe i feel shame on myself or maybe i felt like i educating my son to touch on "drug" by myself. I wanted to stop using pacifier for several times....But failed to do it coz there are so much influences coming from baby sitter and MIL....Noises like "let him be lah, it's ok one.....2 years old then only stop will not be too late one..." ," it's easier to take care baby if giving him chut chut";" his gum is itchy, it's cleaner to bite chut chut than biting some other thing".......stuffs like that.

I'm so regret now, Gary likes his chut chut so much, he is already addicted to it, whenever he thinks he wants to go on bed.....he crying for chut chut...When he see it, he quickly grasp it and put into his mouth. He will surely cry when i take out from his mouth...

Tell me......what the best way to wean off chut chut? I'm now start cutting down the frequencies of letting him chut chut. I rather to carry him around than putting a chut chut in his mouth when he is crancky.Hope my baby sitter and MIL is co-operative to get inline with my direction. I'm hoping to wean off the chut chut when Gary is 1-1.5 years the latest!

Words to Poo Daddy

I'm in early 30's, but longing for retirement, so do my hubby....

We are planning to work till 40s then will have our retired life, or worst case half retirement. In order to hit financial freedom, we have to struggle a lot now, work harder..save for rainy days and hubby sacrificing his comfort zone and a very good prospect work but to suffer alone at overseas now.

At the begininning, people look at us in doubtful eyes and disagree with our decision, no one is supportive in what have been decided, I feel sad as well with the decision...After several months have passed....i'm still surviving...a ha....ha...LOL!

What i have to say is, life is definitely hard without my beloved hubby to be around all the time, but compare to him, i'm still somehow better. I have Gary to accompany andI'm looking forward each day...to see how he learn new things, to see how he laugh...he cries....

What Poo daddy is having each day is work work work and only able to catch baobao smileys...and stone stone face from his pc. He is counting down each day for his home trip....Me too!He is taking all the blaims to leave me and Boabao here alone, i surely know it was a heavy decision for him. So as a understandable wife i have to be inline with his desicion though it is damn hard for me...
But now i finally realized it's also not easy for you, hubby! Your life is so empty now without me and Gary always by your side.....Don't worry, i will not scold you anymore......but to listen to u,ok? :)

I believe in you, we strive now for our better life in future! With holding hands together, we step on the finishing line,ok?Kanbate!

By the way, on top of the retirement plan, my 2nd honey moon plan still need to come true! Don't let me down..my personal fund manager...heehee...

How to gain weight?

Gary is one size smaller after few days suffered from Roseola. His cheeks are no more chubby and his Michelin rings on his arms are longer exist. As a mum, i always want him to be healthy plus ...chubby, greedy mame :)

I have been surfing on the net to look for recipe for gain weight..apparently most of people are saying Pediasure is good for growth. I'm still pondering to go or not to go for Pediasure when he is 1 year old. Pediatrician said all formula milk are the same , those high end product may have better marketing strategies and gimmics. But being a kiasu mum i always want to give the best for my baby if i'm affordable. Will it be too early to think now, Gary is only 9 months old :)

Kind a strange picture here, mame is dying to slim down but in the other hand is thinking all ways to gain baobao's weight.

Roseola

Sorry for the silence. Things has not been so bright since Monday. As mentioned in the earlier post, BaoBao fall sick , he is having high fever.
I brought him to see doctor on Monday, then Tuesday we went again after received a call from baby sitter saying baobao temperature still high and also vomitting when having his cereal.
Doctor said very likely is Roseola....First time hearing this sickness.....did some research...

What are the symptoms of roseola? It's possible to have the virus without having noticeable symptoms. But roseola usually starts out with a sudden, relatively high fever, often above 103 degrees Fahrenheit.
The fever typically lasts three to five days and may end abruptly, followed by the telltale rash. The rash may last for days or only hours.
The rash is pink and may have small flat spots or raised bumps. These spots may have a lighter "halo" around them and may turn white if you press on them.
The rash isn't itchy or uncomfortable, and contact with the rash itself doesn't spread the illness. It's usually seen on the trunk and neck, but it can extend to the arms, legs, and face.
If your baby has roseola, he may also be irritable and tired and have mild diarrhea, a decreased appetite, and swollen eyelids. The lymph nodes in his neck and at the base of his skull may also be a bit enlarged. In general, children with roseola don't appear especially ill, considering how high their fevers get.
About 10 to 15 percent of children with roseola have a febrile seizure. If this happens, your baby may become unconscious and jerk his arms, legs, or facial muscles for two or three minutes. He may also lose control of his bladder or bowels.

Today is the 5th day, Baobao Temperature seems stable now, no more feverish but diarrhea visited him yesterday :(
He was having loo for more than 5 times yesterday...it was so watery....then this morning 2 times already for 1 hour duration, so i brought him to see codtor to get some diarrhea medicine, Doctor were so nice, he gave me 2 tins of Similac samples for Gary, he can't take anymore lactose, this will make him worse....So soya based product is a wiser choice.

I'm so heartbroken seeing my baobao suffer ....his chubby cheeks no longer there.....He is already at the lower end of weight chart, now is like a kitten :(

Any recommendation for babies to gain weight? I must pump him like a ballon to grow to a big boy.

Friends were telling me that you will see your baby suddnely grown up after he/she get well from sickness ..Hope this will come true!

Me fail as a mother

Yesterday was a tiring day, my parent in law were in town, to visit their grandson. My FIL just came back from China so he quickly drove down to see little Gary. We went to QBM after breakfast and had more than 3 hours shopping in there.

Gary was so happy to go "Kai Kai", i did not realize that he was actually having fever. I could feel his body was a little bit hot, but thought myself was over sensitive, coz when i put my hand on his forehead, the temperature was quite normal.

We went home nearly 3pm, then i used a digital thermometer to measure him, oh Gosh! He was 38.2 deg C. Me, being a mother , who so careless to overlook this, i can't forgive myself....some more bringing him to Mall without wearing proper long pants and socks. I really feeled sad that i let my child to suffer more than 3 hours in the mall.
I gave him medicine, but the fever was like come and go....it reached the peak to 39.3 deg C this morning, i was so scared....use a damped cloth to wipe his body, but guessed he din feel comfortable with the cold feeling, so he did make noise....Without thinking twice i brought him to GP...waited for more than 1.5 hours for our turn.

Luckily doctor said it's viral fever, and would subside normally after 3 days, well, i still need to monitor him closely...

I blamed myself of being silly to listen to MIL to bath him at 9pm(after the dinner we had in a hawker center, coz MIL said he was smelly after came out from the hawker center), then me brought him to the mall....without warm clothing...This is the first time that i feel "I fail as a mother"!

Sorry, baobao....mame made u suffer.....no next time ,ok?

BaoBao still actively playing with me , did not realized he fall sick :(

See, he looked gorgeous in Red!

My lovely Baobao ......

Gary fall down from Bed

This title sounds terrible.....but in actual it is not :)

Last nite in the middle of my sleep...i heard a sudden sound of "Bom"....followed by baby's crying sound. Quickly jumped out from my bed....looking for Gary. He was lying on the floor, the other side of the bed.

Oh My god, my poor baobao fall down from the bed out of no where...I looked at the clock, it was 4 am in the morning. I immediately checked on him , he seems ok, no red spot on face or bump on his head. He cried for like 20 seconds, then quiet back, lie on the bed....on and off checking if i'm sleeping beside him (He didn't get back to sleep immediately, but woke up and see if i'm beside him), I patted him a while then he fall back to sleep.

I do not know how can this happened, i already put all pillows around my bed, there are pillows wall, so he shouldn't be rolled above and crossed the wall?!

I guess i have to abandon my current bed but to set up another deb on the floor, what i'm thinking now is folderable mattress, sleep like those Japanese on tatami. This look more tidy that i can keep the mattress in proper manner after bed time....I do not want the room looks so messy, need to look for good mattress this weekend.

Gary going to be Ninth Month

It has been long time that i did not update my blog. I was busy..busy...and busy...but looking back now, what have i done? Can't recall at all.It is always like that..u seems like very busy, but do not know what you were busy on....nothing remarkable. :)

Gary will be 9 months old the coming Thursday, time flies, isn't it? The next time Poo daddy come back will be also celebrating BaoBao 10 months birthday. I love BaoBao more and more everyday, he is so lovely and adorable, of course sometimes will show his tantrum, but this mame likes to see his angry face too.

Look at his face......so cool.....frowning again

This cheeky baobao likes to see himself on the mirror, laugh...at it..talk to himself..so funny.

Laugh Happily....

Papak is teaching me how to drive.....

Gary is a "tam chiak lang", always wanna eat eat...eat..but not drinking a lot of his own milk milk, he is still drinking 5-6oz, 4 times a day plus 2 porridge meals. On top of that, what adult having , he also would like to have a share, though he just had his milk one minute ago. Bread...fruits...crackers....he will not reject anything that put into his mouth. As long as the food is not too sweet or sweetened , i will give him some....... to make him quiet :) Haha..this mame so bad, actually not lah...also like to see him eating happily :)

Oh..i should capture down hi seating face next time.

He is quite sociable, not afraid of strangers...Everyone who offers a carry to him, he will definitely raises both of his hands, smiles at people with his cheeky look ( open big big mouth, showing his 2 little teeth and with line shaped little eyes) He knows to waive bye bye, claps his hands when we said "pai pai shou" , crossed his fingers and shake shake when we said "gongxi gong xi"...Hee...this is important skill, Chinese New Year is near the corner, must take a lot of ang pau with this :)

Depends on his mood, sometimes he willing to kiss me when i said "kiss kiss", but most of the time he ignores me, really "sui chai". Oh well, his kis will definitely melt your heart :)
