Comes and goes

Poo Daddy flied to Shenzen again today after we had a week of happy family get together, time flies....one week over just within a blink of eyes.It's sad, it always do when Poo Daddy is leaving to China.Then 2 of us start again the counting down journey to meet again,Gary is still too small to know all these, he may start feel the pain when he reaches 2.

What we did for the past one week?it was only a week holiday for Poo Daddy and mame, we can't go too far away from home, so we went to Genting with PIL and stayed at Ipoh home town for 2 days...Spent the rest of the week at Penang.


My eyes sure swollen like 2 pcs of Red Globe Grapes on the day Poo daddy left (cried the night before he left :(.....)

I still not learning to be stronger after all these days???....

Chinese New Year

Hi.....It's me again...why suddenly i got so much "Oomph" to write so many post in one day? Nothing special just feel like want to keep writing ..writing and writing before my mood being swiped away.

Chinese New Year is over, Poo Daddy flew back to work , our life goes back to routine ....After 2 weeks spending our family time together i hardly get myself to go back to this "reality", the house is silence again without Poo Daddy. Well....well ..well..cheer up, very soon we will be unity once more!

Let me share what have been done during CNY!

22nd Jan,

Poo Daddy landed in the morning, we went for CNY last minute shopping at Sunshine...Bought some tangerines, peanuts, snacks....waht else, oh ya, my favourite drink for CNY- Anglia Shandy, there are already 2 cartons of Tiger beers at home, so should be enough.

23rd Jan,

Journey back to Ipoh, breakfast at MingCourt Dim Sum, Poo Baobao had his favourite fish cake, and i had my favourite "char siew bao" and "siew mai"....etc.

24th Jan,

Pre-reunion dinner at "Tuck Kee restaurant", PooPoo family started wearing new clothes.......can't wait!.....haha.

25th Jan,

My PIL suggested to have steamboat today, so i helped to prepare the soup base in the kitchen early morning, before we left for another reunion lunch with my own family, this is the first year i had reunion lunch wiht my own family members after i have married, and i hope this can be sustained as an anuual activity. Thanks for my brother for this well arrangement!


Dinner , steamboat at home..then followed by Gary's birthday party, all my family members are here too.

Supposingly should stay up late according to my MIL culture, but me too tired, went to bed before 12am with Gary.



26th Jan,

First day of CNY, woke up at 9 something, did not hear any fire crackers...so quiet, in older days at my home, early early morning before 7am already woke up by fire crackers, but over here at my MIL house is so..so..so..quiet, don't like it!

Went to have vegetarian food for lunch, not as crowded as the old days anymore, a sign of economy downturns.

Nothing special, sat at home....played with Gary, went to my aunties house at night....her house looks merrier....all relatives were back and children were running around the house, played fire crackers.

27th Jan,
2nd day of CNY, cooked "Hoi Nin Fan", as what we had for the past few years, nothing new.





visited my grandparents with my family in Kuala kangsar after lunch, too bad....everyone left...only able to meet with my grandpa and 3 cousins. This house used to be very crowded when all the relatives are back...all my aunties...cousins..but after everyone grown up.....we are seeing less and less member join in this CNY visit.




28th Jan,
Haha..an event that i looked forward too, meeting with my ex-schoolmates.

I missed last year meeting coz i was in confinement. I met 8 ex-schoolmates this year, we had great chat...however the weather did not do us a favor, we were chatting in the rain.....too bad..didn't take any photos.



29th Jan ,

Couldn't remember what did i do....maybe just at home played with little BaoBao






30th Jan,
Brother in law treated us fine dining dinner at Indulgence.....specially for Poo Daddy to have meal here coz he likes western food mah..I had Stewed Oxtail..and Tiramisu for dessert..yummy....and Poo Daddy had lamb sirloin....BaoBao had bread...and made a lot of noise in the restaurant.





31th Jan,
Planned to bring little Bao to Polo Ground, already fixed the plan and set the alarm clock to wake up at 6am....damn it, rainy day, ended up went to "Foo Shan" for dim sum.

1st Feb,

My father treated us dim sum at Ming Court, left to Penang in the afternoon.
Met with some friends in Penang.

2nd Feb,

First day to start work after long break, hor..hor...it's 8th day of CNY, we had a party at my home as well.....though we are not hokkien, but we pretended we are and have our own celebration.

3rd Feb,

Drove down to BM for a friend's visit, had nice "duck egg fried koay teow" for supper, then Poo daddy suggested that we have a drive at Perai town, the place where we first stayed when we started work after graduation, recapture those good old days...




That's what i had for this CNY.

My brother's wedding event PART 2

Here come the actual wedding day.

Early 6am in the monring, i woke up my 2nd brother to pick up the pre-ordered " Golden Pig" from the market plus some market shopping on fruits and flowers for prayers.

Everything was so rush, i prepared whatever which neccessary in place and rushed back MIL home to get dressed and also to meet up hubby to come together in a "family form". Gary woke up,was playing with parents in liw, so excited when he saw me.....raised his hand to give me a "5".

I rushed to bathroom,had a quick bath....then put on some make up, not even started to put lipstick, my brother already calling for help to ask my hubby to drive the wedding car. So...quickly get myslef done left to my father house, phew..still on time!

But.....gosh..only realized taht i have forgotten to bring the jewellery that i bought for the new couples, call for help to go back MIL home to get, on the trip back i join the crowd of picking up the bride....

The funniest part was the groom have forgotten to bring the flowers, muahaha...how come? :)

Finally everything was ready and the groom successfully holding the bride's hand walked out together after went thru some challenges set by the bride's maid..Too bad i wasn't there to witness.

Oh....i should talk aboutGary key's task on the wedding day....

My brother specially arranged the hit "Tam Toong" session for Gary. He of course doesn't know how to do it.... but assisted by me.

He was very excited with the "Tam Toong", he put his hand inside and tried to look for precious in it...

Dig....dig...dig.....see what i found?!

Yeah, i found it!!!!It's a Longan!!!He was happier to find a dried Longan than an angpao.

As my brother wanted to settle everything in a shot, so we had a wedding lunch after tea session, all relatives and guests headed to Reataurant after the ceremony, this arrangment is good also for those who came from out station, it's more convenient in term of time management :)

I can't comment much on the dishes served from a famous Restaurant- Restaurant Mun Cheong, coz i did not taste all the dishes..was going around from tables to tables to "yam sing"..What a waste?!

Special remarks :

Does this ladies look alike with me? Of course she is prettier, i can't ignore this.She is my cousin sister (daughter of my mum's sis). Everyone were saying we both look so alike....Guess some features like eyes and mouth are quite similar...

Her son is so handsome, his name is "Han Han"....

My brother's wedding event PART 1

It has been long time that i did not update new post. It was busy in my personal life as well as my working life..In one way, busy is good but busy in working life do not promise me anything...My company already announced there will be no pay increment next YEAR.....I was expecting a bit of adjustment, but ended up "ZERO". But some said, it's consider not so bad as there are company out there cutting employee's pay....Is the market that bad? Are we really insulated from our government? We seems not knowing how is the world out there doing......


Last weekend was my brother wedding, it was long long time ago that our home having merry day as now...I guess the last big day was my wedding day. The wedding events were nice....we met long lost relatives...friends.


It was a 3 days events, the first day was wedding dinner held in Sungai Petani, the dishes were lousy ....and i did not take all the dishes.



Then 2nd day we had Bachelor nite at Ipoh home, my father asked one of his friends and my aunt to be the chef of the nite ...to prepare buffet dinner (100 pax), i was surprised on what have been presented....everyone likes all the dishes, especially my faher's favourite egg tarts.






Me and my 3 brothers were so busy running around...serving the guests, replenished the dishes...rushed to nearby shop to buy soft drinks...we thought we should have enough :P. Though is a bit messy, but everyone had fun and happy.



Other than the groom to be, my son was another focus person, he was like a star, to be brought around by my father to tables for introduction.My son has a very good character which makes him so "dai-sek". He does not rejecting , any one can carries him and he will still smile at you like this....




By the way, i have forgotten to intorduce something here, Poo Daddy bought a brand new DSLR to capture every single family moments that we could have....He said this is a present for me.(well i antipating one more birthday gift ..hee..hee...) He is learning photography now...so that i can have better pictures to post on PooPoo family blog. Many thanks to Poo Daddy.

The Bachelor nite ended at 12am, after all the cleaning was already 1am..
