Hi, I'm back....after more than a year silence...successfully kicked out the laziness in my head :)
Updates....
My son, Gary which we like to call him little bao is now 3 years 5 months old. He has grown up a lot and now a little adult... He is now attending full day care, every morning i send him to nursery before i go to work and pick him from nursery after work. At first, i thought i will be having tough time when converting him from a half day school to full day. But to my surprise he adapting the change very well, no complaint from him and indeed he enjoying everyday in school. Perhaps, he is having more time spending with his friends now and he really enjoying be a part of them,Thanks to the teachers' effort as well.
His favourite still Lighting Mcqueen ....Thomas and Friends....Mickey Mouse...and now exploring Dora. Guess this little fella got his daddy and mame gene which like looking at the TV :)
3 more months later, our family will grow bigger by adding in a new member, we are expecting a mei mei to join us :) This will complete our family and we are all looking forward to her arrival....Poo Daddy called mei mei "B Nui". Everyday he will message me...."Morning loupoh, how are you doing today? How is B Nui?"...Well, mei mei seems quite active and always show her power of kick boxing in my stomach....i think she is even more active than Gary.
Then how is the mame looks like now? Ooo....big....everything is big, i so so envy those mame can stay slim and only the stomach is growing....But i do not have this kind of luck, both pregnancy...i gained a lot...u can see a round ball from far...and i hate to see myself thru the mirror...it's just look horrible...nothing fits in my body...That's how women sacrifice for their baby and family....
Well, i can be fit again...with all sorts of diets and exercise plans in mind now..and i believe i will...haha!

April 2010 ending......
Today is end of April, time flies.....
An update of myself....
I fell down from my son racing car....caused my coccyx bone (tail bone) fracture...pain for one week...recovering now :P
What else to say, do not know....nothing seems special other than my injury...Perhaps talk about my son?! :P
Gary is 2 years 2 months now, he is growing up, no more baby look but more to boy now.He bahaved quite well this week, he knows i'm having pain...and did not give me a lot of hard time. I always think i'm very lucky that i having such a good and adorable kid. He understands what caused my injury, his mum fell down from his race car when playing with him ....shame to mame ...Muahaha!!! He even demonstrated to me how i fell....
I have nothing to complain about this little fella, only his milk intake....why he dislike milk???..still can not find any answer...I never give up, changing and changing my style in feeding him milk, latest trick is feeding with cup and spoon. Guess my milk bottles need to put on shelves, "jialat"...these are newly open bottle that i just bought from cheap sales.
His happiest moment is the time when i pick him from school, he will run to the door steps, juggling with other curious kids so that he can get the first place standing in front of the grille door....So funny looking at this "kiasu" boy. His father said, this must be learning from his "kiasu" mum.HaHaHa!!!
Oh ya!!Another thing....He is a born lawyer, he always like argue with me, see....before he understand fully ..before is speak fluently....he already start arguing with mum.
Mum said :" Hey, this is Honda City hor?"
Gary : "No...no....it's nice car car"
Mum said :"Ya..nice car, but name is Honda City"
Gary said angrily : " No..No....No...nice car car".
Mum said : " Do you want to talk to daddy on the phone"
Gary :"No...No...dun want"
Mum said :" Hey, Park your car..we are going to Gai Gai"
Gary ride his car to the door step.
Mum said :" No..park back to the original place"
Gary said :"No....park here"
Gary :" Go there....go there" asked me to make right turn when we in the car
Mum said :"No...can not go there"
Gary :"No..go..there...Gary wants go there"
Gary point to a train picture :" see....Thomas"
Mum said :" No...it's a train"
Gary said :" No..No...No...Thomas"

Taming his temper
It's a challenge now to manage a 2 years old boy, angry outburst turns on when things not going his way.Frequently see this happening when my boy is sick, hungry...or too tired. Me loose my cool sometimes and things only get worst.
I find it is more effective to use the soft approach,be patient and calm, listen to him, do whatever he commanded, soon his tantrums will be fanned off.
Reacting to kids' meltdowns with yelling and outbursts will only make the situation worse and teach him to do the same. But keeping ourselves cool and calmly working through a frustrating situation is showing and teaching our kids appropriate ways to handle anger and frustration.
No one is perfect, we will sometimes feel frustrated with all unreasonable requests from an angry child, what do the best is walk away from the situation a while, give yourself a short break and then going back to attend to him....giving him a warm hug and kiss, you will find your child cooling down and start talking to you and telling you why is he upsetting. Many times, feeling listened to and understood is all our kids need to regain their composure.
Trust me...this is the best way to handle your kid...to tame his temper :)

Talk to me
Gary is now 2 years old…and started to have some very simple communication with us. I like to talk to him in the journey to nursery and baby sitter, we talked about the surroundings….things that we see. He is an observant child, he see things faster than me, even for some little tiny things, are most kids the same?
This morning while I was dressing up in the bathroom, he walked to me…He woke up on his own, came down from the bed…walked to me..and the first sentence he talked to me was “”Mame….daddy? …car …car.” I guess only I know what he tried to say. He was trying to ask “Where is daddy? I want to play car car with him”. This little fella, only thing in his head is car and ball…nothing else.
I noticed this little bao learning new word from school everyday, from “Boo Yao” (Don’t want) to “some more”…He helped me to collect laundry from the yard, I passed him one pair of socks, then to my surprise, he said “some more”. Wow, impressive!
Little Bao, talk to me....i like to hear your words....

I miss you
Poo Daddy told me last night that he suddenly missed little Bao, my reaction was :”What? I thought you miss him everyday and night?” Then he said “Ya lah, but yesterday's feeling was very strong!”.
“So, what you do next?” I said.
“Continue working loh” He replied.
“@#$%#$.....” I mumbled.
Sometimes I do too, in the middle of the day when I was busy doing my job, Little Bao’s cutie face will flash in my head….or sometimes when I walked in the mall during lunch hour, I will think of him.People always said, your son/daughter was your lover in the previous life. This myth is somehow true, as we will only think of our lover at anytime, at anyplace.
Recently I feel very touched on an radio advertisement….Something like this...the advertisement is in Cantonese.
“ Mummy, How are you? I’m fine here”
“ Mummy, I miss you very much, I hope you are fine too”
“ I dream every night, I see the fierce fire….and you hold me very tightly with you whole body”
“Mummy, do not worry about me, I will be good here, I know you can hear me and protect me from heaven”
I repeatedly hearing this many… many times on the radio, it’s a fire extinguisher advertisement. I still getting heavy every time I hear. Mother always prepared to sacrifice everything to love to protect her kid…including her life. That’s the born to be instinct deeply embedded in every living creature.

Re-opening
Hi all....
Here i come again..after 6 months diving in the sea, now i surface out to grasp some fresh air.
Friends are complaining why i did not send new post...and i have all sorts of reasons and excuses.
For those miss us....here we are now!!!

Gary at his 2 years old birthday celebration

Playing with his toy car which come together with the cake.
Gary is 2 years old now and i started to send him to half day school. Not school actually, to be exact...it's a play group.Everyday 8.30 to 12pm,then i need to utilize my lunch hour to pick him from school and sending him to baby sitter.
On the first 2 days,he was ok, so i did not have hard time to send him there.
But the second week, he started to cry before reaching school,he has good sense in geographic, at main road ...not yet reaching the junction, he already started to say "no..." "mame, baobao "to me....He didn't want to go to school.
He cried very loudly when we reached school, then teacher carry him in...and he was like being kidnapped by someone else...Pity him. According to teacher, he only cried for a while then he got ok for the whole morning...I trust her, coz when i pick him up after school, he seems ok and happy.
This week is the third week my prince schooling, other than little noise he made on Monday morning, the rest of the time are perfectly alright. He is improving day by day. Poo daddy has his daily report everyday on how is son doing at school, i will call him to brief him, he seems a bit worry that his son dislike schooling.Don't worry...our son doing well!
Last week he made an paper craft...a paper elephant...I feel so proud of him and almost melted in my heart...Oh, boy...he is growing up and this is the first piece of art that he made.I'm keeping this together with all my precious.
Gary, mame and daddy love u!!!

19 months old Gary
I think I'm seriously getting lazy, not many post i have published lately...partly due to busy work life that i'm having now....damn super duper "Roti Canai" colleague giving me a hard life!!really want to @#$@%@^. Must thank my colleague giving him a nice name "Roti Canai", coz he always flip flop in his statements....annoying!
OK..i should delete this person in my memory, he ain't important in my family... my life.
Let's talk about little Bao,time flies..He is 19 months now, But still look tiny. :(
He speaks quite a lot now but with his own language, only people that genius like me (his mum) understand him ..LOL!
Though he is not well spoken yet, but he starts argue with me...He pointed to a chicken say "Bird", i corrected him, but he keeps telling me "bird..bird". Another example, i said , see there is a dog, then he will reply me "wowo"."No, it's dog" I said. But what can i hear is all "wowo", "wowo"..Faint!!!
Little Bao a very "wai sek" boy. Anything that i put in my mouth, he will ask for his share...But he does not like his own food like porridge and milk. Oh...apparently his milk intake is increasing after i changed to Pediasure.Hope this will last forever....I do not mind to pay more as long as he drinks milk.
All his teeth already popped up, started to train him to brush his teeth every morning and nite.
There are another 2 things that i wanted to train him, most difficult tasks
1) Get rid of his pacifier, he is too addicted with his pacifier, guess my baby sitter needs to play her part too, seriously need to cut down the use of pacifier.
2) Pee Pee, he tells us when he wants to poo, but not when he wants to pee. I have tried few times to bring him to toilet bowl, but he still pee on his pants...My target is diaper free when he reaches 2 !Keep it up!!!
He has good memory, and i guess most kids do.
A boy is a boy, inherited all kinds of naughty character...see below pictures...

At first sit happily on a bean bag

Starts sinking

Half of his body inside the bag

Sunk further after 5 seconds....

Mame, help ...help me!

How little Poo change Poo daddy
Poo daddy is the youngest son in his family, has the greatest love of all. His parents see him as a precious ,as a star.Maybe due to different family education, you are not a friendly person and a too detailed person (too much thinking) LOL!
It was a difficult process and hard decision for him when i first told him i want a kid in our family. I could not remember how much fight we had in this topic, and finally he agrees with me (but i know he was forced to agree with me).
One day in July 07, i told him i was not feeling well and Poo daddy brought me to see doctor in nearby Clinic, and i was diagnosed as 5 weeks pregnant.I was so ...so happy, but did not see the same thing on his face...i see worriness on his face but the happiness that i had overcame the sadness that Poo daddy given to me...
I'm not so lucky as most of the mum-to-be where hubby is taking good care of their preggie wife. Most of the time i handled things on my own, i had dinner alone...i spent time with my baby alone, Poo Daddy kept busy on his work :(
8 months passed, Little Poo came to our live... I asked Poo Daddy how did he feeled? He observed the whole delivery process, he feeled mysterious more than happy...A baby came out from my stomach and arrived into his life.
This kid changes Poo Daddy, from not-kids friendly hubby to a lovingly daddy!I think that's power from the little Poo!!!
Poo Daddy can carry new born little Poo, amazing!
Poo Daddy feeds little Poo, unbelievable!
Poo Daddy peeps on little Poo when little Poo is sleeping, Sweet!
Little Poo has turned Poo Daddy to a better person, a more real person.Poo Daddy now misses little Poo more than mame, everytime he shops, he looks for little Poo stuffs...His desktop keep flashing little Poo photos.
After 18 months, i asked the same question again, How do you feel now?
"I feel different, unexplanable bond to little Poo, he melts my heart!" this was the answer he gave.
"Do you still scared of responsility?"
"Not that heavy as before Little Poo was borned" He said :)
Seeing little Poo grow day by day and getting smarter and smarter,he will sure smile in his heart that he made the right decision!

coversations with my little Bao
I'm back....After a long silence :)
Last week was a stay at home mum, my baby sitter went on Tour, yeah..again!So i have to take care of little Bao myself. No doubt is tiring, but fun to be with him, to be honest he is not very cranky baby, oops...he is no longer baby, a boy boy now.So take care of him is not a difficult task.
Little Bao is 18 months now, understand pretty well on what i said to him, he even know when is the right time to ignore me.
Example 1:
When i ask, "Today you got good boy or not?", he looks left and right, pretends never listen...points to the sky says "Bird bird, no more."
Example 2:
When i ask, "Today you got drink nen nen?", He shakes his head and opens his arms ...then says "mame ..bao...bao..",asks me to carry him.
Example 3:
When I ask, " Can you kiss mame?" he turned his head, then i ask again" Can you kiss aunty?" Then he immediately kisses the aunt.
The happiest thing for him is go outing, think kids always like to hang around outside the house :)
"Come,we go"kai-kai" now, get your shoes". Then he will scream happily and run to the door steps and get his shoes.
"Give the ball to mame, we going to the car now,ok?
Then he will say "K". LOL!
He is getting naughtier day by day, throw things on the floor when he get angry, beat my face when i pull him up from something that i do not want him to touch or play.I can't stand him so naughty, so i started to cane him. Ya...I caned him when he throws tantrum.

Passport photos
Last Tuesday i brought Little Bao to take passport photos.I want to get ready a passport for him just in case we want to go overseas...or to visit Poo daddy.
It just too funny to see his passport photos,so i requested the photographer to give me all the soft copies....Well, of course no free lunch, i need to pay extra for the extra softcopies...
Look at him....so uncle!!!!So "Ah pek"!!!!

"Herng Pek Pek" = Uncle Gary

Chinese? English???
I'm Chinese educated since kindergarten,Chinese is my mother language, first word i know is not "A..B..C" but "一。。。。二。。。。三". I have never never doubt my Chinese standard until recently.... Friends around me said:"Oh, ya...u sure u are Chinese educated?" Oh my god! Is my mandarin that bad?! I admit that i may mixed a little Cantonese slang, that's always common for "Ipoh Mari". LOL!
So, i gave myself a reading test, i tried to read a paragraph in a Chinese article, and you know what, i couldn't read smoothly like the old school days! I stopped every 3-5 words...Oh gosh, i almost want to hide myself under the table.
I told my best friend of mine (my ex-schoolmate) that my Chinese is being challenged by colleagues and friends, and she didn't believe me.In her memory, my Chinese is good,as i always scored high marks in essay writing, and even submitted post to magazines.
Guess i have returned whatever i have learned from school to my teachers. In today's working environment,we use English most of the time, i would say since we graduated from High School, we no longer speak and write Chinese, gradually i have lost the power of mastering this language. Will it be too late to pick it up again?I still strongly believe nothing is too late :)
I will definitely send my little Poo to Chinese school, i always proud for myself as a Chinese educated student.Well...Do not fool yourself, it's no longer English education system now in our primary school unless you send your kids to International School.
A very good example is Poo Daddy, who is a banana....He regrets that he does not know Chinese and missed out a lot of interesting stuffs in his life, books..entertainments...and now even work is hard for him in China :(
Do remember one thing, your kid's future count on you, one simple action from you decides their future!!!

Bathing in the stream
Last weekend we joined a Durian makan -makan trip at Balik Pulau, We went in an orchard and have durian feast by the stream, sounds really interesting, right? It is indeed, despite of the tiring hike with the little Bao. LOL!
It is suppose a 15 minutes hike, but carried a 10kg little adult, it dragged me about 30 mins....to reach the stream.Sweat..... but a lot of fun!
See how much fun my son had...playing in the stream.

Showing off the new swimming trunk i bought for him...

This suppose to be a durian feast..why no photos of durian??? Too busy taking care of him in the water....kakaka!

Laziness climbs over my head
Lazy..very lazy...
Do not feel like to talk ...
Do not feel like to move...
Do not feel like to think...
Just let me be a lazy pig for a while,ok?
Last weekend, brothers and friends were at town, visited some tourist spots that i will not go in normal days... :P
Went to Spice Garden, made one big round in Penang Island, had durian in Balik Pulau...Disovered my little Poo is also like me, having motion sickness....You know waht is my first reaction? I laughed.....Muahaha..I recall, still find it's funny...He was having his favourite biscuit, then suddenly he looked to the front kept asking me for "chut chut" (His pacifier). At first i did not understand why he was having biscuits halfway , some more need his pacifier then suddenly i realised....coz i was having nausee too that time while going on the winding road at Balik Pulau.
Little Poo immediately lie on my lap, quietly sucking his pacifier....did not move at all...It was so funny to look at him having motion sickness...LOL!!!

Some photos taken in Spice Garden, there is a small stream in the garden and Little Poo enjoyed so much!

16 months old Gary
Gary is reaching 16 months old now, but his size still look as tiny as 1 year old boy. My little bao dislikes milk, this really bringing me headache.....He likes to have solids, but solids is not as nutricious as milk :(
I started new trick now,i'm giving him cheese, apparently he likes it and hope this will help to boost his weight and height gain :)

See how bossy he is....sitting in his car seat..taking nap
I did not take a lot of photos of him recently, lazy ...After the maid left...Tonnes of work need to be done and this super glue boy just recovered from Herpes....
Little Bao getting more sticky lately, since he was 15 months.Just suddenly not getting any friendly, he wasn't that last time,he used to be super friendly, anyone can carry him, so anyone can walk away with my son if i do not aware.
Maybe it's good sign that he is becoming more alert to strangers, then i can feel safe.
Little Bao getting very very cheeky now, he imitates adult to make monkey face, come to hug me and kiss me after i scolded him....feed me with his favourite food, kiss me before he goes to bed ....All i can say is...So warm in my heart!!!
I love you,son....Thanks for filling my life with such wonderful moment!

Music class for Gary
After so many days of suffer, Gary is getting better now, his ulcers are all gone and appetite is coming back.
I did not force him to eat a lot yet, he still taking antibiotic, let him finish the medicine then i will start pumping him more food intake. he slim down quite a lot....the chubby cheeks no more chubby, poor boy.
I plan to bring him to music class, just let him have some fun in the music school, not because of i kiasu. I feel he really likes music, he shakes his body , shakes his head when he listens to music..so cute to see him goyang..goyang...I guess he will be very happy if i let him have little fun to play some instruments in music class. He is so boring at home...should give him some fun activities.
Poo daddy not totally agree to my suggestion, he said better to send him speech learning school, so that he can master the verbal skill...erm...how come daddy more kia su :P
Will look around centers nearby, maybe De Cottage is good option? Any idea?

Gary is sick
Gary started high fever last Sunday, brought him to see Doctor at nearby clinics, first i thought must be sore throat again for him. Sorethroat is common cause for him to get fever. After diagnose, Doc also claimed his thraot is a bit red, he prescripted fever medicine for him, and said fever should have subside after 3 days.
3 days later, his fever still comes and goes also he was getting more and more irritating when drink water and milk, i feeled like a second visit to the Doc is a must, so we went back to the clinic, we saw ulcer in his throat, so we thought it was only one ulcer in his throat...
Gary continuously cried in the middle of the night for more thatn 3 nites, he cried for nothing, there was one nite he cried more than 30 mins and i feeled worry about him then the next day i brougth him to his paediatrician, I worried it could be hand foot mouth disease.
Oh gosh, i only realised my son is having 5 ulcers on his top and bottom of his lips and swollen gum when visit to paediatrician, imagine 5 ulcers for a young children, not to count those in his inner mouth and throat.
I was so heartbroken when i saw this, almost wanted to cry out for him, my poor boy, no wonder he cries when he drinks water, milk and when he eats.It is dreadfully pain!!!
Doctor said he has "Herpes", kind of virus infection.
I surfed something about "Herpes" , below are the symptoms and causes.
Gingivostomatitis is an infection caused by the herpes virus. This is the same virus that commonly causes fever blisters or cold sores, but the first time you get infected, you get the more classic symptoms of herpes gingivostomatitis. It is most common in younger children, aged 6 months to 5 years.
The symptoms of this common infection include a high fever, irritability, swollen glands, loss of appetite and the appearance of small blisters on your child's gums and inside his mouth. The blisters quickly become painful ulcers and typically last for up to a week.
Treatment is aimed at keeping your child comfortable and include pain and fever relievers and fluids to prevent dehydration.
Topical pain medicines are also sometimes helpful. One common method to decrease pain is to have a pharmacy mix up equal parts of Benadryl and Maalox, which you can use to coat the ulcers. If your child is swallowing the mixture, be sure not to exceed the recommended dosages of Benadryl.
Acyclovir, an antiviral medication, although not commonly used, may help your child get better faster, but it must be given 5 times a day to be effective.
This infection is highly contagious and you should avoid contact with the ulcers and saliva, which can contain the virus. Symptoms usually develop about 2 to 12 days after having contact with an infected person. One of the problems with this infection is that you may continue to shed virus or be contagious for weeks or months after you get better.
It is especially important to avoid contact with newborns and young infants when your child has this infection, as it can cause very serious illness in young children.

Father and son Vs Mother and son
Suddenly this idea come into my mind...so i quickly draft this post.

This captured during Gary 2 days old when we reached home from hospital
Look at the father, still green in holding a baby.

This captured when Gary was 3 weeks old, during the full moon party at Ipoh home.

This was captured by a friend without my notice...me look so fat and "chan"...

Both father and son had coffee at Starbucks....Gary was 6 months+

7 months old Gary with mame at Cameron Highland

Best photo of the year- "Father and son", 8 months old Gary

10 months old Gary with mame

11 months+ old Gary with Daddy at our new house when we just received the house keys.

1 year old Gary with mame ....celebrating his 1st birthday!
These photos reminded me the perfect moments we had for the past one year with a precious given to us.
Do not think how much $$$ you have spent on your kids, how much sacrifices you have made....You should think how much joy and love your kids have brought to you and this definitely priceless gift......

BB sitter plans go on tour!~~~
Yesterday my baby sitter asked if I can take 6 days off from work? She wishes to go on tour to Beijing....it will be an 8 days tour including weekend.
OMG!At this kind of critical moment, going for holidays....some more need me to burn my annual leaves, no way, man!
I did not reject her directly, i said to her.."i need to think and made necessary arrangement..bla...bla..."to buy time, will give my answer to her in a day or two. Right after i left baby sitter house, mum's of another baby called me on this issue, we both decided to say "NO". Good, at least i got one companion now :P
Then second day, baby sitter asked me about the decision,i gave her a beautiful answer, which i think it was....hee..hee...
See below:
BB sitter:"Can get leave ah?"
Me :"Can not loh, my boss said next quarter company might need to shut down,
so i have to save my annual leave just in case they annouced shut down!"
"Now situation very bad,do not know when i will be retrenched ler,"
"You got any friend can help to take care Gary for a week? If can find
some one to cover one week, i think it's fine for you to go tour"
BB sitter :"Really ah, so bad meh.....xx's mother also same thing loh, she also
can not get her leave approved, think i have to cancel the plan lah"
Me :"Ya, now not a very good time loh, maybe year end is better"
BB sitter :"Ya loh..ya loh"
Wah...me relief.....this thing haunted me 2 days ler, got sleepless nite some more.Luckily she cancel her plan..Phew~~~....
This baby sitter of mine is not the best i have seen, she is taking care 3 babies at the same time, including Gary. But it's not so easy to change as Gary was there since he was 2 months old, everything seems ok, just the minor thing will happened sometimes like Bb sitter want to on leave a day lah...hygene not really superb lah...Not giving full attention to my baby lah...etc...
Poo daddy asked me to tolerate for another year, when Gary is more than 2 years old or maybe 2.5 years old, we can send him to nursery, then he will have a lot of friends to paly with. Also, people said baby can learn faster in nursery.
Want to see how my litte Poo eat apple? He refuse to get the bite size apple from me, he wants to eat an apple as a whole...he thinks he is just an adult like me :)
