19 months old Gary

I think I'm seriously getting lazy, not many post i have published lately...partly due to busy work life that i'm having now....damn super duper "Roti Canai" colleague giving me a hard life!!really want to @#$@%@^. Must thank my colleague giving him a nice name "Roti Canai", coz he always flip flop in his statements....annoying!
OK..i should delete this person in my memory, he ain't important in my family... my life.

Let's talk about little Bao,time flies..He is 19 months now, But still look tiny. :(
He speaks quite a lot now but with his own language, only people that genius like me (his mum) understand him ..LOL!

Though he is not well spoken yet, but he starts argue with me...He pointed to a chicken say "Bird", i corrected him, but he keeps telling me "bird..bird". Another example, i said , see there is a dog, then he will reply me "wowo"."No, it's dog" I said. But what can i hear is all "wowo", "wowo"..Faint!!!

Little Bao a very "wai sek" boy. Anything that i put in my mouth, he will ask for his share...But he does not like his own food like porridge and milk. Oh...apparently his milk intake is increasing after i changed to Pediasure.Hope this will last forever....I do not mind to pay more as long as he drinks milk.
All his teeth already popped up, started to train him to brush his teeth every morning and nite.
There are another 2 things that i wanted to train him, most difficult tasks
1) Get rid of his pacifier, he is too addicted with his pacifier, guess my baby sitter needs to play her part too, seriously need to cut down the use of pacifier.

2) Pee Pee, he tells us when he wants to poo, but not when he wants to pee. I have tried few times to bring him to toilet bowl, but he still pee on his pants...My target is diaper free when he reaches 2 !Keep it up!!!

He has good memory, and i guess most kids do.

A boy is a boy, inherited all kinds of naughty character...see below pictures...

At first sit happily on a bean bag

Starts sinking

Half of his body inside the bag

Sunk further after 5 seconds....

Mame, help ...help me!

coversations with my little Bao

I'm back....After a long silence :)
Last week was a stay at home mum, my baby sitter went on Tour, yeah..again!So i have to take care of little Bao myself. No doubt is tiring, but fun to be with him, to be honest he is not very cranky baby, oops...he is no longer baby, a boy boy now.So take care of him is not a difficult task.
Little Bao is 18 months now, understand pretty well on what i said to him, he even know when is the right time to ignore me.
Example 1:
When i ask, "Today you got good boy or not?", he looks left and right, pretends never listen...points to the sky says "Bird bird, no more."
Example 2:
When i ask, "Today you got drink nen nen?", He shakes his head and opens his arms ...then says "mame ..bao...bao..",asks me to carry him.
Example 3:
When I ask, " Can you kiss mame?" he turned his head, then i ask again" Can you kiss aunty?" Then he immediately kisses the aunt.

The happiest thing for him is go outing, think kids always like to hang around outside the house :)
"Come,we go"kai-kai" now, get your shoes". Then he will scream happily and run to the door steps and get his shoes.
"Give the ball to mame, we going to the car now,ok?
Then he will say "K". LOL!

He is getting naughtier day by day, throw things on the floor when he get angry, beat my face when i pull him up from something that i do not want him to touch or play.I can't stand him so naughty, so i started to cane him. Ya...I caned him when he throws tantrum.

16 months old Gary

Gary is reaching 16 months old now, but his size still look as tiny as 1 year old boy. My little bao dislikes milk, this really bringing me headache.....He likes to have solids, but solids is not as nutricious as milk :(
I started new trick now,i'm giving him cheese, apparently he likes it and hope this will help to boost his weight and height gain :)

See how bossy he is....sitting in his car seat..taking nap

I did not take a lot of photos of him recently, lazy ...After the maid left...Tonnes of work need to be done and this super glue boy just recovered from Herpes....

Little Bao getting more sticky lately, since he was 15 months.Just suddenly not getting any friendly, he wasn't that last time,he used to be super friendly, anyone can carry him, so anyone can walk away with my son if i do not aware.

Maybe it's good sign that he is becoming more alert to strangers, then i can feel safe.

Little Bao getting very very cheeky now, he imitates adult to make monkey face, come to hug me and kiss me after i scolded him....feed me with his favourite food, kiss me before he goes to bed ....All i can say is...So warm in my heart!!!

I love you,son....Thanks for filling my life with such wonderful moment!

Music class for Gary

After so many days of suffer, Gary is getting better now, his ulcers are all gone and appetite is coming back.
I did not force him to eat a lot yet, he still taking antibiotic, let him finish the medicine then i will start pumping him more food intake. he slim down quite a lot....the chubby cheeks no more chubby, poor boy.
I plan to bring him to music class, just let him have some fun in the music school, not because of i kiasu. I feel he really likes music, he shakes his body , shakes his head when he listens to music..so cute to see him goyang..goyang...I guess he will be very happy if i let him have little fun to play some instruments in music class. He is so boring at home...should give him some fun activities.
Poo daddy not totally agree to my suggestion, he said better to send him speech learning school, so that he can master the verbal skill...erm...how come daddy more kia su :P

Will look around centers nearby, maybe De Cottage is good option? Any idea?

Gary is sick

Gary started high fever last Sunday, brought him to see Doctor at nearby clinics, first i thought must be sore throat again for him. Sorethroat is common cause for him to get fever. After diagnose, Doc also claimed his thraot is a bit red, he prescripted fever medicine for him, and said fever should have subside after 3 days.

3 days later, his fever still comes and goes also he was getting more and more irritating when drink water and milk, i feeled like a second visit to the Doc is a must, so we went back to the clinic, we saw ulcer in his throat, so we thought it was only one ulcer in his throat...

Gary continuously cried in the middle of the night for more thatn 3 nites, he cried for nothing, there was one nite he cried more than 30 mins and i feeled worry about him then the next day i brougth him to his paediatrician, I worried it could be hand foot mouth disease.

Oh gosh, i only realised my son is having 5 ulcers on his top and bottom of his lips and swollen gum when visit to paediatrician, imagine 5 ulcers for a young children, not to count those in his inner mouth and throat.

I was so heartbroken when i saw this, almost wanted to cry out for him, my poor boy, no wonder he cries when he drinks water, milk and when he eats.It is dreadfully pain!!!
Doctor said he has "Herpes", kind of virus infection.

I surfed something about "Herpes" , below are the symptoms and causes.

Gingivostomatitis is an infection caused by the herpes virus. This is the same virus that commonly causes fever blisters or cold sores, but the first time you get infected, you get the more classic symptoms of herpes gingivostomatitis. It is most common in younger children, aged 6 months to 5 years.
The symptoms of this common infection include a high fever, irritability, swollen glands, loss of appetite and the appearance of small blisters on your child's gums and inside his mouth. The blisters quickly become painful ulcers and typically last for up to a week.
Treatment is aimed at keeping your child comfortable and include pain and fever relievers and fluids to prevent dehydration.
Topical pain medicines are also sometimes helpful. One common method to decrease pain is to have a pharmacy mix up equal parts of Benadryl and Maalox, which you can use to coat the ulcers. If your child is swallowing the mixture, be sure not to exceed the recommended dosages of Benadryl.
Acyclovir, an antiviral medication, although not commonly used, may help your child get better faster, but it must be given 5 times a day to be effective.
This infection is highly contagious and you should avoid contact with the ulcers and saliva, which can contain the virus. Symptoms usually develop about 2 to 12 days after having contact with an infected person. One of the problems with this infection is that you may continue to shed virus or be contagious for weeks or months after you get better.
It is especially important to avoid contact with newborns and young infants when your child has this infection, as it can cause very serious illness in young children.

Gary starts walking like drunken master

Lately very busy at work, can't finished my work in the office, some more need to bring back to work at night :(
Why recently so busy? Guess people in US and Europe are afraid of loosing job, their job is at risk, so the sales people are more aggressive in visiting customers to get orders, partly is also ordering trend is very short turn order, it means they hope to get orders very soon after the orders are loaded in.me, as a marketeer, busy is replying customer request, prepare quotation....bla..bla...bla..

OK, forget about work...focus on my son...kekeke..

Gary Started to walk free hand 2 weeks ago,one week after he turned to 13 months. What was the feeling? So touched..I'm not the one who discoverd that he was walking free hand, my maid told me...She said"Look at him, he walk free hand now" and that time Gary was walking out from the kitchen , claping his hands...My tears started coming out from my eyes....he walked 10 steps more then fall down....and i pull him up again, and he walked. The minute i saw it, i hug him tight in my arms...Never so happy before!!!The feeling is as strong as he was borned.

Poo Daddy also got tears formed in his eyes when he first saw the video of Gary starts walking.I amazed with the strong bonding between the father and son, though they are apart.I believe this is an unexplanable fact scientically.

13 months old Gary

It has been long time i did not talk about my little prince.
Today he will be turning 13 months, another milestone achieved...

What is the latest achivement of this little naughty fella?

• Points to things when asked
"Eyes..nose...mouth..fish...daddy."
• Responds to my instructions very well
"give your chut chut to mame", he hands over his pecifier
"knod his head to reply me when i asked "You want this?"
• Uses a spoon or fork, but most of the time the food fall from the spoon
• Matches lids with containers, his favourite activites
• Pushes and pulls toys while walking, he still do not dare to walk on his own which i start to worry....(Kiasu mum)
• Climbing, Do not walk but climb...what baby is this??
• Imitate others...
• Put his palm togther to do "拜拜" when he see statues of prayers
• Show tantrums when he is frustrated, beat people face

I'm giving him Enfagrow 2-3 times a day and breakfast with Pediasure,he likes Enfagrow more, maybe Pediasure is thicker and he feels full with it.In order not to waste the milk (it's expensive)i normally pour out his leftover milk and add in some cereal for him, since he likes solid food more than milk milk.
Oh yes,i'm giving him Galactis as a supplement, this is recommended by a pharmacist. It helps to boost his brain development and immune system. This is kind of DHA+AA+SA..kind of fish oil...it's in liquid form, smells very fishy, i can't stand the smell, but Luckily Gary is ok with it. Phew....

I feel a bit sad when i left him to baby sitter every working morning, but he looks happy, can't wait to get down from his car seat.Heard from baby sitter, he starts to know the clocking is ticking....every eveing after bath and his porridge time, he starts to make noise to go out from the house, it's time to go home :)

Lately if time persists, i will bring him to the playground to mix with other kids, let him see how "koko and ceh ceh" walk..run...and play. Hope with the influece of other big boys,he will be brave enough to move his first step without me holding his hands.

Boy, you gotta be brave!!!!

Gary 11 months liao

So long never send report on Gary's development.....Poo Daddy started to make complaint :(

Gary stayed with his grandpa and grandma during my trip to HK and China, i only able to see his cheeky face thru webcam during conference with my PIL every nite, he did not recognize me thru the pc screen, but busy on pressing the keyboard and pushing the button. He knows very well now the on/off button, each time you bring him on the desktop, he will push that button and the pc starts shutting down, and i will like "Grr.....Grr...."speechless.

Ok, get back to my main point.

Gary just had his 11th month birthday last week, his daddy sand him a birthday song and he looked a the pc monitor and smiled at him...so cute.

After 2 weeks training at PIL house, he able to take 7 oz milk, i was amazed when i heard this from my Mother in law, the trick is to get his attention by singing him a song, let him watch TV and make funny funny face...My son is like a big boss, he needs entertainment while having milk.He is still very "tam chiak", when he see people eating, he will slurps...and ask for his share....His favourite is grapes...He will not reject anything that can put in his mouth, except milk....this one need to depends on his mood, :(

Mobility, he can walk now with chairs...He pushes chair in order to bring him around....He climbs on stairs...pretty fast....and we dare not leave him alone in the living hall now, one minute before you see him, next minute he is already on upstairs.

He has 4 teeth at his lower jaw, and 2 giant teeth on upper one....really really big teeth, he looks so funny when he laugh. He doesn't speak yet, he only calling people by "ah",or scold you also "Ah".

His favourite game is driving, well trained by my PIL, each time we go out, he will stand on PIL in law laps....and start turning the steering and pushing all other buttons, As if he is F1 driver... LOL!

Gary going to be Ninth Month

It has been long time that i did not update my blog. I was busy..busy...and busy...but looking back now, what have i done? Can't recall at all.It is always like that..u seems like very busy, but do not know what you were busy on....nothing remarkable. :)

Gary will be 9 months old the coming Thursday, time flies, isn't it? The next time Poo daddy come back will be also celebrating BaoBao 10 months birthday. I love BaoBao more and more everyday, he is so lovely and adorable, of course sometimes will show his tantrum, but this mame likes to see his angry face too.

Look at his face......so cool.....frowning again

This cheeky baobao likes to see himself on the mirror, laugh...at it..talk to himself..so funny.

Laugh Happily....

Papak is teaching me how to drive.....

Gary is a "tam chiak lang", always wanna eat eat...eat..but not drinking a lot of his own milk milk, he is still drinking 5-6oz, 4 times a day plus 2 porridge meals. On top of that, what adult having , he also would like to have a share, though he just had his milk one minute ago. Bread...fruits...crackers....he will not reject anything that put into his mouth. As long as the food is not too sweet or sweetened , i will give him some....... to make him quiet :) Haha..this mame so bad, actually not lah...also like to see him eating happily :)

Oh..i should capture down hi seating face next time.

He is quite sociable, not afraid of strangers...Everyone who offers a carry to him, he will definitely raises both of his hands, smiles at people with his cheeky look ( open big big mouth, showing his 2 little teeth and with line shaped little eyes) He knows to waive bye bye, claps his hands when we said "pai pai shou" , crossed his fingers and shake shake when we said "gongxi gong xi"...Hee...this is important skill, Chinese New Year is near the corner, must take a lot of ang pau with this :)

Depends on his mood, sometimes he willing to kiss me when i said "kiss kiss", but most of the time he ignores me, really "sui chai". Oh well, his kis will definitely melt your heart :)

Gary starts his first step

Gary is 8.5 months now, just a brief update on his development. He is 7.8kg during his last visit to doctor, it was 2 weeks ago. Milk intake is still 5 to 6 oz, nothing more. He takes porridge 2 times a day, an adult rice bowl everytime.
Mobility- he crawls since 8 months, pretty good in using his arms and legs, like those army training...what is that call?He sometimes on all fours, but not dare to move his body with that.
He stands steadily with one hand holding on sofa or...table top.....and last week, he started to move 1 , 2 steps with hands holding on sofa.Hee...mame so proud of you!

And about my ear infection, damn it...still in pain..and can feel there is a lot of discharge in there. Doctor said no need to take injection , just continue the medicine and ear drops, but i still have 30% pain wor and feel itchy....Grrr.......will have follow up visit again this Friday. She asked me not to dig it again, but me...."beh tahan" lah, so itchy!!!!
