Team Building 08

This is a very back dated posting.

My company organized team building every quarterly, but most of the time is only half day event. This quarter was good, we have 2 days 1 night stay at Pangkor Island, guess boss wanted to reward us for 1 year hardwork contributed to the division.

This was first group trip that i had since graduated from school, felt like going back to school. LOL!

Since it was only one night , i let Gary stay in Baby sitter house. She is really helpful and happy to help me. At first i worry Gary will give troublesome to her, but luckily Gary behaved as a good boy. Relief~~~

The whole group of nearly 70 peoples headed to Pulau Pangkor on 27th Nov (See, it was so backdated :P ), we travelled in a bus, looked ok too. We arrived at Lumut Jetty about 12pm, the weather was good, windy and not too hot. It's about 40 mins ferry ride from Lumut to Pangkor Island, i hide on the deck all the way from Lumut to Pangkor.I had very bad experience in my last visit from England to Paris via Dover, it brings me dilemma on nausea ever since then.

It's much better to catch the sea breeze in open air.....

Pangkor Island still look as old Pangkor Island, there is not much development i can see...compared to 10 years ago.

I was surprized that the Hotel that we stayed has changed to a Malay management group, and my comments are-"Do not expect more",as long as the room and environment look clean and hygine.

Telematch games started at the seaside, it's only 3 minutes walk from the hotel after we had lunch . I bet there are not many people come here for team buiding , as the instructor was lousy and the whole arrangement was bad.Well, despite of these, we had fun too!

But the best part was the cycling tour that we had after the telematch games....We rented bicycles from stalls by the road side, you easily can get one..there are plenty. But just a 2 cents opinion from me, please check properly and choose the new bike... most of the bikes are rotten.

Pangkor island is having a lot of hill side and the road are winding and steep, it is a very tough exercise to have a bike tour go around island. If i remember correctly the whole round island trip is taking like 3-4 hours. Due to lack of time, we had only 1.5 hours ride...and you know what 1.5 hours for 1km distance, will it be to slow....or are we too old?

The dinner come with Karaoke session, but a few of us "ponteng" from the event. We sneaked out to the beach, we equiped ourselves with red wine, peanuts and snacks...We talked about office gossips, futures...a lot of laughters.





P/S: to Poo Daddy, the pondok still there, next time will not be only 2 of us but add one more member to be there- little Gary!

My Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday, the first birthday that Poo Daddy was not with me.I thought it's going to be a boring and sad birthday for me....Even thought of buying a birthday cake to celebrate with little Gary.


It turned to be a very special birthday.....My best friend purposely drove down from Ipoh to visit me on my birthday, together with her were her parents , well...we know each others since i was 14, close to 20 years frienship now ....Can you imagine?I'm very sure our friendship will last forever. She bought me a present with very nice wrapping, though from the look u will already know what is inside :) I can not remember exactly how long i did not received a birthday present which is wrapped with fancy paper, i guess more than 10 years......Present from Poo Daddy were always a immediate pick from the mall...No suprise :)
We had great moment ....had lunch at the mall and little shopping, very warm celebration.I hope we can have more time to spend together, too bad was she needs to leave and resume to work on Saturday. I think we should have meet up more often coz we have endless topic to talk ...

Oh Yes, Gary mets them too. Wow, my son likes uncle very much , do not even bother his mame...Will definitely bring Gary to visit Uncle & Aunty during CNY.

Wait........ it's not end yet.

My best colleagues and friends organized a birthday dinner for me and another friend, Ruey Fen -who is having the same brithday as me ....It's not easy to meet some one who borned at the same day, same month and same year with U!!! And i did!!!!
The brithday dinner was hold at Good friend Seafood at Teluk Kumbar, all together we have 10 persons (including Bit Tie's family and JuChin's family). I had a lot of food, it was awesome...definitely put on weight, great lunch...great dinner.....What else???Birthday cake!!!!There was a very humorous incedent happened when all of us singing birthday song, suddenly i heard very loud voice singing "Happy Birthday to....KhaYan and Bit Tie"??!!!!I was like har???Did i missed out anything? My blur blur friend - Ju Chin changed the birthday beauty to Bit Tie instead of Ruen fen....Muahaha....i can't believe it! Ruen Fen marked this birthday forever in her memory ....No one gets angry, just felt impossibly funny. This going to be joke of the year!

My brother's wedding event PART 2

Here come the actual wedding day.

Early 6am in the monring, i woke up my 2nd brother to pick up the pre-ordered " Golden Pig" from the market plus some market shopping on fruits and flowers for prayers.

Everything was so rush, i prepared whatever which neccessary in place and rushed back MIL home to get dressed and also to meet up hubby to come together in a "family form". Gary woke up,was playing with parents in liw, so excited when he saw me.....raised his hand to give me a "5".

I rushed to bathroom,had a quick bath....then put on some make up, not even started to put lipstick, my brother already calling for help to ask my hubby to drive the wedding car. So...quickly get myslef done left to my father house, phew..still on time!

But.....gosh..only realized taht i have forgotten to bring the jewellery that i bought for the new couples, call for help to go back MIL home to get, on the trip back i join the crowd of picking up the bride....

The funniest part was the groom have forgotten to bring the flowers, muahaha...how come? :)

Finally everything was ready and the groom successfully holding the bride's hand walked out together after went thru some challenges set by the bride's maid..Too bad i wasn't there to witness.

Oh....i should talk aboutGary key's task on the wedding day....

My brother specially arranged the hit "Tam Toong" session for Gary. He of course doesn't know how to do it.... but assisted by me.

He was very excited with the "Tam Toong", he put his hand inside and tried to look for precious in it...

Dig....dig...dig.....see what i found?!

Yeah, i found it!!!!It's a Longan!!!He was happier to find a dried Longan than an angpao.

As my brother wanted to settle everything in a shot, so we had a wedding lunch after tea session, all relatives and guests headed to Reataurant after the ceremony, this arrangment is good also for those who came from out station, it's more convenient in term of time management :)

I can't comment much on the dishes served from a famous Restaurant- Restaurant Mun Cheong, coz i did not taste all the dishes..was going around from tables to tables to "yam sing"..What a waste?!

Special remarks :

Does this ladies look alike with me? Of course she is prettier, i can't ignore this.She is my cousin sister (daughter of my mum's sis). Everyone were saying we both look so alike....Guess some features like eyes and mouth are quite similar...

Her son is so handsome, his name is "Han Han"....

My brother's wedding event PART 1

It has been long time that i did not update new post. It was busy in my personal life as well as my working life..In one way, busy is good but busy in working life do not promise me anything...My company already announced there will be no pay increment next YEAR.....I was expecting a bit of adjustment, but ended up "ZERO". But some said, it's consider not so bad as there are company out there cutting employee's pay....Is the market that bad? Are we really insulated from our government? We seems not knowing how is the world out there doing......


Last weekend was my brother wedding, it was long long time ago that our home having merry day as now...I guess the last big day was my wedding day. The wedding events were nice....we met long lost relatives...friends.


It was a 3 days events, the first day was wedding dinner held in Sungai Petani, the dishes were lousy ....and i did not take all the dishes.



Then 2nd day we had Bachelor nite at Ipoh home, my father asked one of his friends and my aunt to be the chef of the nite ...to prepare buffet dinner (100 pax), i was surprised on what have been presented....everyone likes all the dishes, especially my faher's favourite egg tarts.






Me and my 3 brothers were so busy running around...serving the guests, replenished the dishes...rushed to nearby shop to buy soft drinks...we thought we should have enough :P. Though is a bit messy, but everyone had fun and happy.



Other than the groom to be, my son was another focus person, he was like a star, to be brought around by my father to tables for introduction.My son has a very good character which makes him so "dai-sek". He does not rejecting , any one can carries him and he will still smile at you like this....




By the way, i have forgotten to intorduce something here, Poo Daddy bought a brand new DSLR to capture every single family moments that we could have....He said this is a present for me.(well i antipating one more birthday gift ..hee..hee...) He is learning photography now...so that i can have better pictures to post on PooPoo family blog. Many thanks to Poo Daddy.

The Bachelor nite ended at 12am, after all the cleaning was already 1am..

Choice of your life

In our working life, we meet all kinds of people....with different different characters.It's ok if you have annoying peers, you can try to avoid having much interaction with them. What if you have irritating boss? that's the worst thing in your working life!How to get rid of this? No way.......either you choose to leave .....or you stay on and become numb with all the naggings...


It's your choice how you want to live your life....Well, I choose to stay .....and become a wood... Bleah.....Bleah.... :P

December Rojak......

It's already beginning of December, month of festive season....We have Hari Raya Haji....My birthday :)......Dong Zhi and Christmas. So, December always the happiest month in a year. This year due to the world financial crisis, a lot of sectors are affected, our company can't escape from it either. My company planned to have a plant shut down, but this is yet to be officially annouced , but my big boss is so volunteer to shut down ourselve, i can't imagine we as marketeers need to go on holidays while other counterpart continue to work?! What kind of weird arrangement is?! I have 6 more days which subjected to be forefeited this year, so will take this chance to go off...
Poo daddy booked me the ticket fly to Shenzen during the shut down period, i guess it should be good to hear that i finally made a decision to fly over......All these while i'm still pondering....shall i go in Dec.....or i shall make the trip happened in February..bla..bla... Now, the flight is booked, VISA is done...so what i need to go is just pack and go. Gary will be staying at MIL house for around 2 weeks, hope he will be "kuai kuai".
I'm not so keen in visiting China, but more to Hong Kong...Muahaha. Hubby can really read my mind...He knows i want have big feast and a lot of shopping in HK....Muahaha... Hubby will definitely stop me from buying unneccessary things....Well, he will say :"Wei, save the money, buy stocks better! "...He eyed on a smart phone with GPS for a long long time liao, but he still keeping his money is pocket., he said this is not a necessity...see first....see first... :) He is indeed a cautious thinker, he can spend years to think and do survey before he knocked down for any purchase for interest.
This year will be my first birthday without hubby's presence....so sad :(
Will I get my birthday present this year? i don't know ....coz hubby will mostly call up and greet me "Happy Birthday!" and present will come later when he is back...he will bring me shopping and i choose a present for myself and he will pay for it...There are hardly surprises coz he has phobia to buy me present, i complained a lot on what he bought for me...fuzzy woman :)
Nevertheless, this year i have little Wong accompany. Well, father is away, replaced by little Wong....
